  • No hot bath, sauna, swimming, exercise, tanning or any activities that will cause excessive perspiration and irritation to the skin.
  • Treated area should be protected with sun block.
  • Avoid applying deodrant or perfumed products on the treated area.

  • No exfoliation for the next 5 days but do exfoliate once a week after that.
  • What is Brazilian waxing?
Brazilian waxing removes the hair in the intimate area using wax. A strip or a small triangle of hair may be left in front. The hair is also removed from the area between the buttocks.
  • What is the difference between hard wax (hot wax) and strip wax?
Hard wax is spread thickly onto the skin and allowed to dry slightly before it is pulled away. This method is less painful and more suitable for sensitive areas such as bikini line and under arms. Stip wax is applied thinly to the skin and removed with a paper strip. It is recommended for less sensitive areas such as legs, arms, back, chest and shoulders.
  • How long should my hair be for waxing?
Your hair should be at least 3mm long or longer. For men's facial waxing, the hair should be at least 5mm or longer. If you shave regularly, you should stop shaving for at least 2 weeks and moisturise everyday before coming in for waxing.
  • Can I have waxing treatment during my period?
Yes, please wear a tampon. Some people may find it more painful during period as your skin gets more sensitive.
  • Does it hurt?
Every person has different pain thresholds so some may find waxing more painful than the others.
  • How long does hair-free period last for?
It depends on your hair growth cycle. You may find some regrowth after 10 days or so. It may take few treatments to have the hair growth cycle that gives the best result.
  • What do I wear during bikini/brazilian wax?
You will be asked to remove your underwear.

At first, you will be lying down on your back with one leg slightly bent outwards. For the buttocks (for men), you will be asked to be on your knees and elbows.
  • Is it permanent hair removal?
No, waxing is not a permanent hair removal. You will see some hair regrowth after about 10 days of the treatment.

No. The hair needs to be at least 3mm long for the wax to adhere to the hair. If you shave, please let the hair grow for at least 2 weeks before coming to your appointment.
  • Am I still able to get a Brazilian wax while I am pregnant?
It is best to consult your gynaecologist but it is generally safe to have your treatment done after you first trimester.
  • How should I treat ingrown hair?
Ingrown hair is formed when the hair follicle is covered by a layer of dead skin and the hair is unable to come through the skin surface so you will need to moisturise everyday to keep the skin soft and exfoliate once or twice a week to remove the dead skin.
  • Can I put a make-up on straight after facial wax?
It is best to leave 4 to 12 hours before applying foundation but we advise to use sun protection as the top layer of skin is removed by waxing.
